There are also solid pneumatic tires that are great for outdoor situations that might have sharp objects on the scattered on the ground. You should also consider how long you plan on using your forklift on a daily basis. If you are planning on using your forklift for more than 4 hours daily, then you should consider investing on a new forklift instead of a used one. This is because any cost you might have saved when buying a used forklift, will be canceled out with any maintenance and operating cost. If you buy a used forklift, the dealer can recondition the forklift; giving it a new paintjob, tires and an engine tune-up. But if you buy a used forklift as-is, then you will have to personally get it painted and have the tires changed yourself.
You can also choose between an electric forklift and an internal combustion forklift. It is also important to look into the safety features of the forklift; also attachments and comfort. Make sure that your forklift has standard safety features like back-up beepers, headlights and flashing amber lights. You should also make sure that the forklift seats are adjustable and comfortable to reduce the risk of stress injuries on the operator. You should also look into attachments for your forklifts if you are planning on carrying varying loads. Try researching on the sales history of the forklift. You should always check for positive feedback from the dealer about the forklift you are planning on buying.
